This one-day generative master class with award-winning novelist Tanwi Nandini Islam will focus on the art of character. Bring your ideas (and a writing utensil), and leave with the start of your next short story or novel. Course fees include a one hour reception—with wine and snacks!—and a chance to ask Tanwi questions about the writing life in a open and encouraging environment.
Tanwi Nandini Islam is the author of Bright Lines, a finalist for the 2015 Center for Fiction First Novel Prize. Her writing has appeared in Vice.com. Elle.com, Open City, Billboard.com and Gawker. She is the founder of Hi Wildflower Botanica, a small-batch, niche perfume, candle, and skincare line. A graduate of Brooklyn College MFA and Vassar College, she lives in Brooklyn, New York.
